IMPORTANT FILM INFORMATION:
For exhibition, all films should be NTSC with colorbars and a 1khz tone at 0db for 1min. This will be used to check the quality of each film. All projection is set to standard 4:3 so 16:9 films should be letterboxed or labeled "16x9 ASPECT" for correct projection. All DVD's must have a selection menu and should not auto start.

Permission for the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival to use an excerpt from any accepted form (not exceeding three minutes), for promotional purposes, is considered granted unless otherwise noted. Please send black & white or color stills with application.
ENTRY FEE: $35 Early fee by February 1; $40.00 regular entry fee by April 2; $45 late entry fee postmarked by May 15; Student Films require a copy of their student ID card and note the name of your film school. MAKE SURE YOUR FILM IS POSTMARKED BY THE ENTRY DUE DATE.

PREMIERE INFORMATION:
The Big Bear Lake International Film Festival recognizes a "world premiere" as any film that has never been shown to a public audience; and "U.S. premiere" as any film that has never been shown to a public audience in the U.S. Please list any previous film festival screenings: indicate awards or honors, if applicable: _________________________________
PLEASE READ AND SIGN THE FOLLOWING:
Authorization:
1. Films accepted for the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival will be projected on DVD, BetaSP, DigiBeta (Village Theaters & Performing Arts Center). No changes other than aspect ratio will be made to films at the time of screening. No VHS projection will be screened.
2. Non-English language films must have English subtitles or be dubbed in English.
3. The number of screenings, date, time and location of the screenings of the film are at the discretion of the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival.
4. The print supplier will be responsible for the cost of shipment to the festival. The Big Bear Lake International Film Festival, in turn, will return the print postage prepaid to the supplier/filmmaker or the next festival destination as indicated by the supplier/filmmaker as long as it is in the continental U.S. and NOT an overnight or RUSH delivery. The Big Bear Lake International Film Festival will not incur the cost of sending prints outside the U.S. A Fed/Ex, UPS or courier account number must be provided for International delivery.
5. The festival takes utmost care of your print entry and provides insurance for loss or damage to a maximum value of $500.00 USD. The festival does not pay additional charges for originals, masters or special prints. Participating organizations cannot assume responsibility for damage or loss of the print and other film material, en route or otherwise, during the course of the Festival's possession of the print.
6. The festival retains submission tapes in its film library; if you wish your tape or press kit returned, you must send a self-addressed stamped envelope or tape box.
7. The festival reserves the right to complete any information not supplied by the filmmaker from whatever source available and will not be responsible if incorrect information is entered. Make sure you write your film synopsis/blurb on the call for entry form.
8. Participation in the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival implies understanding and acceptance of all terms included in this application.
9. Please read the "submission guidelines" on the website.
10. Attach a photocopy of Student Identification for Student Films
